There is a big difference in the need for change and the desire to change. Earthlings need to change everything about how we are living now. It is not conducive to our continuing existence. Earthlings are going to be the creators of their own demise. Our Spaceship Earth is in a stage of deteriorating where it will no longer sustain us. The other possibility is the insane amount of nuclear ordinance possessed by the different opposing Super Powers that exist at this time. All it will take is one of the leaders of these to push a button starting a catastrophic war. If that happens our Spaceship Earth changes for a very long time. No one can know the end result of that.
What would it take to energize us to desire changing how we live now? That is a question pondered by many Earthlings of our time. Looking at history it seems change for Earthlings comes slowly. How many wars have been fought, how many have starved although there is plenty to eat, how many have died because of medical care with held and how many go without a secure place to call home. The answer is millions of the billions that inhabit this Spaceship Earth st this time. There is no reason for any of these to happen except Earthlings lack of desire to change. The status quo is comfortable and the unknown is scary.
The interesting thing is that there are many organizations to help with hunger, homelessness, medical assistance and other causes. No one has had the thought that if you combined all of these organizations into one there might be enough power to actually help with all of these causes. Most of what each desires could be solved by their combined force. Getting these organizations to desire this change is difficult considering the scope of it and the nature of how power seems to work.
Earthlings are not ones to have the desire for change unless catastrophic consequences might occur. Look at history again. Earthlings have only desired to change when there is no other option to them. Mostly things stay in the status quo. Many brave men and women have given their lives to bring about changes they saw were needed in their time. Changes have come when necessity has required it. Otherwise Earthlings stay stuck in behaviors that are not conducive to their continuing survival. Wake up and smell the end if change doesn’t become because it is Desired not Needed.
