You may say what are you talking about? There are lots of rules. Yes there are lots of rules that exist on our planet. They vary according to where you live on this planet of ours. Ask yourself the question what are these rules about? They are about Earthlings choosing to live together in groups, call these what you may. In order for us to live together in groups, rules were established to give order to our interactions. It prevented the chaos that might otherwise have occurred. Imagine more than a few Earthlings living together without some rules for them to live by.
Can you imagine what living together would be like without any rules? Murder, rape, robbery, child abuse and all of the mean spirited actions Earthlings are capable of could happen. It is only in the establishment of rules that Earthlings are able to live together in the groups they do without chaos. It seems we need rules in order to survive in groups with each other.
So it is only because we choose to live together in groups that rules exist. You are born in to a group with rules that you need to abide by. The first Earthlings that give you rules to live by are your parents. Next there are rules for living in the society where you are born. These rules all have an attached punishment for breaking them.
Religions, governments, scientists and others have rules that are not breakable. If you break the rules for these groups there is a punishment involved. These can be incarceration, becoming a social outcast, death and whatever punishment is applicable for breaking that rule. So you choose to break a rule, you choose to perhaps accept the consequence for that action.
So this is why there really are no rules. The only rules that exist are the ones Earthlings have chosen to make. When you are born you have no real rules to live by. Of coarse there are survival rules you need to abide by, which you can’t on your own when you are first born. If you don’t conform to the rules that you are supposed to live by, you get the resulting punishment. What does this do for our free will choice? Almost makes you think there is no free will. Yet we know there is because rules are made to be broken, right?
We can choose to live by other rules that are not established and have no resulting punishment. For example there are no rules that say you have to be kind to others. Only rules that specify how you need to interact with them. So you can choose rules for yourself that are outside of the normal set of them. You can also choose to be giving, honest, compassionate, empathetic, sympathetic and things that are loving. You can choose to move someplace where you can establish your own rules for living. As long as you are in your own community. Even then you will need rules to guide your interactions with each other.
So truly just because there are no rules, it doesn’t mean that you don’t need them when living with others. It seems we are social creatures and like to be around others, for the most part. It doesn’t mean we can’t look at all of the rules that exist now and challenge their validity. There is a possibility we can establish new rules for living together that redefine us as Earthlings. That make it possible to live in peace, harmony, happiness and joy with one another. It is clear that the rules we have chosen so far are not working. There is to much hate, conflict, poverty, hunger and lack of basic needs being met for all Earthlings. Let us change the rules to bring about a better Earth and in that honor the planet that provides for us that we all live on.
